  • Dr. Andrew Lewis

    Dr. Andrew Lewis

    Owner, DVM

    Dr. Lewis, is a native to Southern California, having been raised in the San Fernando Valley. He completed both his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees at UC Davis in 2003.

    Dr. Lewis enjoys working with dogs and cats, and he has developed a special interest in dermatology, internal medicine, pain management.

  •  Dr. Mark Kopit

    Dr. Mark Kopit


    Dr. Kopit (on the left) is our mobile radiology specialist. He has over 20 years of experience in radiology and ultrasonography, and completed his residency in 1984 at Tufts University.

    Dr. Kopit can provide detailed results quickly about ultrasound findings, and can perform ultrasound guided biopsies in the hospital. He is internship trained at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, but grew up in Anaheim.

    Dr. Howard Fischer


    Dr. Fischer is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and he has provided specialty surgical services for over 50 Southern California Veterinary Hospitals.

    Dr. Fischer’s team of technicians have over 25 years of combined experience, and they have the necessary specialized equipment to perform a variety of specialized and technically complex procedures in our hospital.

    Dr. Joanne Hughes


    Dr. Hughes is one of our mobile surgeons. She was raised in Huntington Beach, but completed her undergraduate studies at Wellesley College in Massachusetts in 1993. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis.

    She continued her education in specialty surgeries by completing two surgical internships plus a one-year orthopedic research fellowship at Washington State University. Outside of work, the Hughes household is quite active with 5 cats and 2 dogs.

    Hello, my name is Ingrid. I am a veterinary technician and received my animal science degree from Cal Poly Pomona. I absolutely love animals and enjoy every day I get to take care of them and help them. I spend my free time with my sisters, my nieces and nephew, whether it’s watching Disney movies, singing karaoke or just having dinner. My additional hobbies include dancing, singing and baking. I love working at Huntington Beach Pet Hospital because I feel fulfilled knowing we are providing quality and caring medicine to so many animals, and in turn, their families.

    Hello, my name is Courtney. I am a certified veterinary assistant and received my degree in 2013. My family and I share our home with Millie, a 6 year old bloodhound. I spend my free time with my 3 year old daughter going to Disneyland, the park or the beach. I also enjoy going to country concerts and sporting events (GO ANGELS!). I love my job because I love helping animals, big and small. It’s so rewarding when the pet leaves our hospital, tail wagging and spirits up, whether it’s after surgery or after a short vaccine visit.

    Hello, my name is Kelsey. I have enjoyed being around animals my entire life. I started my career in Texas, where I was a kennel attendant, assisting with all boarding pets and administered medications. It is important to me knowing that animals are receiving the best care, and that I can help to ensure their stay with us is enjoyable. In my free time I visit the beach and love shopping. My goal is to become a registered veterinary technician.

    Hello, my name is Steffanie. I graduated from Professional Veterinary Assistant School in 2011 and passed by California State Board exam to earn my registered veterinary technician license. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 10 month old son, Jacob. I also enjoy fishing and caring for my two Boston Terriers, Rawley and Bella.
